REVERSE FORWARD

Performative installation - Reconnection with the Earth

Reverse Forward explores the contemporary paradox of moving forward while simultaneously returning to an original connection with the Earth.

Set within an underground environment, the installation immerses visitors in darkness, humidity and organic matter. Sound, projection and performance guide them through a deeply sensory experience in which the boundaries between body, matter and environment begin to dissolve.

The experience unfolds through a circular movement between past and future, transformation and rootedness, progress and return. Rather than representing a return to nature, Reverse Forward invites participants to physically experience a state of reconnection, a form of collective memory embedded in the body.

At the end of the journey, visitors emerge through a white staircase leading back to the surface. Here, they are invited to leave a trace on the walls: a drawing, a word, a gesture, or simply a mark.

This final act transforms the individual experience into a shared one. Each trace becomes a fragment of memory, accumulating alongside those left by others, a collective record of what has been experienced.

The gesture closes the circle: from Earth to body, from experience to memory, from memory to trace, and from individual perception to shared expression.

Entering the Earth becomes an act of care.

Leaving a trace becomes an act of connection.
