Carlo Brunelli is a contemporary artist exploring relationships between people, place and the living world.
Through artworks, immersive installations and participatory environments, he creates conditions where time, matter and human experience can meet.
His practice begins with a relationship.
A relationship with a landscape, a community, a material, or a specific place.
Rather than imposing a predetermined form, he works through processes that allow natural forces, human participation and the identity of a place to become active contributors to the work itself.
Water, air, heat, gravity and time are not simply materials. They are collaborators in a process that reveals traces of transformation, memory and connection.
Through site-specific projects and immersive experiences, Brunelli invites people to slow down, pay attention and reconnect with the relationships that shape their lives.
His work moves fluidly between art, design, nature and human experience, creating spaces where reflection, encounter and participation can emerge naturally.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Soave, near Verona, Italy, in 1975, Carlo Brunelli grew up in close relationship with nature and diverse cultural influences, experiences that continue to inform his artistic practice.
After studying Industrial Design in Padua and completing a Master’s degree in Automotive Design in the United Kingdom, he worked internationally in design and creative direction.
Over time, his focus shifted from commercial design towards a more open artistic practice centred on process, place and human experience.
In 2020 he founded the Carlo Brunelli Project Space in Verona, dedicating himself fully to contemporary art.
In 2023 he founded wʌn - We Art Nature, an evolving platform that brings together art, nature, participation and interdisciplinary research through immersive and site-responsive experiences.
Today his work includes paintings, installations and collaborative projects presented in galleries, public spaces and site-specific contexts in Italy and abroad.
